This project responds to the competition organized by the city of Maribor Slovenia to create a new Museum of fine arts, within the framework of the European Capital of Culture 2012 event.

Following the imagination coming from the Drava banks and the stocky buildings, this proposal develops the idea of a rural atmosphere, the character of a cultural village in the nature. Two faults cross the four buildings of the museum like an open geode, the inner walls being covered with smooth and translucent glass, while the outer envelope is formed of raw and rough stone.
